We are looking for an Assistant Store Director for our Austin retail location; someone who can bring​ passion, energy, and shared belief in the brand - an effort we try to improve upon every day. The​ right candidate will be a person who can simply care for our beloved customers and our team as​ their own family while being a major support for our Director.

This is a full time, in-person retail role, and reports to the Austin Store Director. You should expect​ to work when we are busy, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

  • ​Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combo of education and experience.
  • ​Have 2 or more years of management experience with similar scope.
  • ​Be available when we are busy, including: nights, weekends and holidays.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the store director in overseeing and staffing daily operations, as well as, special events
  • Communicate the brand voice of imogene + willie to our customers and team
  • Partner with director to deliver regular touchbase conversations with sales staff (i.e​ performance, behavior, and recognition)
  • Support director in facilitating monthly staff meetings
  • Delegate daily tasks to shop sales staff
  • ​Lead sales floor and shop flow; support fittings, engage customers, manage team breaks,​ sales team support
  • ​Provide operational support including but not limited to helping with ecommerce orders, Slack
  • communication and systems troubleshooting
  • ​Support shop outreach list; add customer contacts to engage during promotions and events
  • ​G​eneral responsibilities: training, laundry, store feedback / customer requests, shop upkeep /​ cleaning, interviews / hiring decisions
  • Provide supervisor level intervention for escalated situations (customer and staff)
  • Evaluate customer feedback on experience, product, and deliver coaching/feedback as​ necessary
  • Help the director work with the team to meet weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals.
  • ​Work as a partner to the Customer Experience team and Nashville shop team
  • Work as a partner with the other directors to maintain communication and team connection
  • Lead the shop team by example through optimal operations, superior product knowledge,​ excelling sales, and communication of brand story
  • Ensure training and shadowing is abundant and assist in helping the company create and​ maintain great training approaches and onboarding processes.
